The "Shibuya Sakura Stage" is

The Shibuya Sakura Stage is a massive redevelopment area initiated as the "First Kind Urban Redevelopment Project at Shibuya Station Sakuragaoka Area". Within the development area, it includes a 39-story large-scale complex building "SHIBUYA Tower" and a 17-story "Central Building" on the "SHIBUYA Side (Block A)", along with a 30-story "SAKURA Tower" on the "SAKURA Side (Block B)".

The Shibuya Sakura Stage, where various facilities such as public areas, commercial floors, offices, and residential floors will open sequentially. A grand opening event is planned for the completion in the summer of 2024.

At present, access between Shibuya Station and the area south of Shibuya Station is hindered by National Route 246. With the opening of the new Shibuya Sakura Stage and additional ticket gates, the flow of commuting and tourism is expected to change significantly.

About the facilities at Shibuya Sakura Stage

The "Shibuya Sakura Stage" is a mixed-use facility that integrates the three elements of "working", "playing", and "living".

[Offices]

In the heart of Shibuya, a new large-scale office will emerge where the latest trends converge. Providing a spacious and comfortable environment, these offices are adjacent to the station and include SHIBUYA Tower, Central Building, and SAKURA Tower with a standard floor area of approximately 2,780 sq. m (about 840 tsubo). The standard floor area of each building varies, accommodating a wide range of companies, from large corporations to startups. It looks like it will have a design that matches Shibuya, known as the city of IT.

[Commercial Facilities]

A vast commercial zone is set up to the 5th floor. Commercial facilities that disseminate the latest trends and cultures are deployed, with diverse tenants including fashion, gourmet, and entertainment planning to open stores.

[Residential]

Branz Shibuya Sakuragaoka" will be born as the only residential area in the central district of Shibuya Station. 155 houses will be provided, and a part of the shared lighting will be generated by solar panels, realizing a sustainable "environmentally advanced condominium". The quiet living environment, a step away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, and the convenient location close to the station are attractive.

The Shibuya Sakura Stage will also be lit up at night, so it seems likely to become popular as a new shooting spot.

Famous spot in Shibuya, "Sakurazaka


There is Sakurazaka, famous for its cherry blossoms, in Shibuya Sakuragaoka, just south of Shibuya Station where the Shibuya Moyai Statue is located. This area is a famous spot visited by many people, including inbound tourists, every cherry blossom season, but it is not included in the Shibuya Sakura Stage development area this time.
